Special Features Of The School
  • Most of its students come from slum colonies and poor families.
  • Location of the school makes it easy  for the poor slum dwellers to  benefit  from the special free education provided to deaf and mute   children by the School.
  • The school tries to create awareness in Society about the causes of deafness i.e. mal-nutrition, lack of medical guidance, healthcare mother and child at appropriate time : during pregnancy and early  childhood.
  • The School enjoys  reputation which attracts trainees  for practical training for the last 10 years on regular basis from the institution like Aliyavar  Jung National Institute for Hearing Handicapped and other public schools.
Highlights Of Teaching To Deaf And Mute
  • All the teachers are qualified having a Degree/Diploma in education for the hearing impaired.  Only 10 to 12 students can be in one section so that  individual  attention is paid to the each student.
  • Apart from Visual  and display methods  the school has now started computer based  education  as well.
School starts with morning prayer and P.T.

Special emphasis has been on the Sports and Games.
The participation in the recent State and  National  level  are worth  mentioning.

  • Two of our students were selected in National Athletic Championship held at  Siliguri (West Bengal) between 6-12-2005 to 8-12-2005 and won 8 medals in 200 M to 800 M race and  4 x 100 meters relay- race.

  • 20 students including 7 girls participated in Delhi Athletic Championship organized by Delhi Sports Council  of the Deaf at Chattarsal Stadium on  9th and 10th  January 2006.  They won 5  Shields including one over-all performance in  addition, they won 23 first prizes, 17 2nd prizes and 14  third prizes.
