Welcome To All India Deaf & Dumb Society (AIDDS)

All India Deaf & Dumb Society (AIDDS) has been formed by public spirited persons for the benefit and welfare of Deaf & Mutes irrespective of sex, race, religion, castes, creed, colour.

It was registered in the year 1956 under the Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860 under no. S 963 of 1956. The office is located at Plot No. 4 & 7, Institutional Area, Kadkadi Mode, Vikas Marg Extension, Delhi-110 092.(behind Deepak Memorial Hospital).

Our Present Activities

The fore-most concern is to advance the cause of education and, as such, the Premala Bai Chavan School for the Deaf started on 14-8-1972 was up-graded to 8th class and has been recognized by the Delhi Govt. on 9-11-2000. As on date, about 280 deaf and mute students are on roll from nursery to 8th class. school for the deaf is also affiliated to National Institute of Open Schooling for Secondary Education and is an approved A. I.

Future Planning

To set up a Vocational Training Centre to train the deaf and mute children in various trades like electronics, automobile mechanic, Textile Designing, Photography Beautician etc. etc. to make them self supporting respectable citizens of our country.

Up-grading the present middle School upto 10th class. As after completion of their studies upto 8th class, they find it very difficult to get admission in other schools as Delhi has limited Senior Secondary Schools for the deaf and dumb.
